P1000629_zps94b421eb

For our last show of 2014, we bring you a special one with concert sound pioneer, sound and recording engineer Buford Jones. Buford has been a high level sound engineer in the concert sound industry since 1970. Working originally with Showco, he mixed concert sound for the likes of ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, David Bowie, and was a pioneer in surround sound working with Pink Floyd. This is a fascinating insight into what happens ‘behind the scenes’ when you hear a fantastic concert. Executive Producer Rich Reardin hosts this part 1 episode, and they talk about Bufords early days working with Showco, ZZ Top, Mark O’Connor, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
