Willy Vlautin Part 2 and 3. This week on In Search of a Song executive producer Rich Reardin interviews singer/songwriter/novelist Willy Vlautin. Willy founded the band “Richmond Fontaine” in 1994, and his first novel “The Motel Life” has just been made into a movie starring Emile Hirsch, Steven Dorf, Dakota Fanning, and Kris Kristofferson. This is a fantastic insight into the differences and similarities to writing songs, stories and novels.
